Interests, passions, dreams, tell us everything about you!

“I’d love to be a writer, a professional one. Actually, I write and publish books and essays but to fill the fridge, I also need a ‘real’ job.”

Andrea is always willing to discover the culinary delights of various countries: “I love visiting cities and their food markets.”

His motto? “Sex, Food and Rock n Roll!” Well, I think we got the idea!

Tell us more about your cooking experience!

“I have memories about when my mom breastfed me. A specific one: I was milking at the second floor of the house. Something happened, a big noisy crash, and my mom interrupted my lunch to have a look at the road. They told me that it was a car crash. I had the felling of being expelled from my favorite restaurant during a wonderful dish.”

For a last-minute meal, our host is full of ideas: “Some starters with focaccia, salami, ham, cheese and nuts. A pasta, ‘carbonara’ version. Then, I scout in my freezer for some squids that can join peas, served with wine.”

Among all the meals Andrea has cooked, one in particular stands out: “It wad probably the first meal for my parents, when I left my native home. I had to avoid Italian food as I didn’t want to compete with my mother. And they were too conservative for ethnic food. Finally, I chose a French dinner with soupe d’oignon, roasted meat with prunes, salad with apples and mousse au chocolat.”

He admits he may have a weakness: “I’d like to be better at making cakes and dessert.”

When Andrea describes a successful meal, he uses poetic terms: “You can measure how successful it is from the glimpses in the guests’ eyes, the richness of the talks, the joy and freedom they get in dealing with the food you bring to the table.”

Tell us about your place!

My place is the mirror of my soul. It’s very colorful, with many paintings and drawings. Each item in the flat has something to tell. It’s easy to come to my place as it’s accessible by public transportation and a parking lot is available. Rome is a nice town with a huge party attitude.”

A few words on Cookening?

“The idea is great and the website too. It fits a lot with the growing attitude towards sharing experiences.

He even gave us a few tips: “You probably have to be more involved in marketing campaigns, maybe with connections and partnerships in the member states.”
