Have dinner with Mahsa in Andalusia to let your taste buds travel

Tell us about yourself and your interests…

We can say that Mahsa is quite lucky. Her job is also her passion: “My dream job is more and less what I´m doing right now, which is designing and organizing authentic travel experiences in different countries, especially in Andalusia/Spain. In my free times, I do exactly the same thing that I would be doing when I´m working. That is traveling or preparing the next trip.”

Our host has her feet on the ground: “I´m very passionate about health in form of healthy food, healthy life style and healthy human relationships. Meeting people and having a good time or a nice experience together also makes me very happy.

“Apart from that, I think I´m quite good at laughing at myself and my own mistakes, which means that I´m entertained quite frequently!”

What about your cooking experience?

“My most vivid memory about the food is the first food I made which was plain rice with fried eggs on top and I shall say I still can remember how tasteless and frustrating it was. Even though it was an absolute failure, my guests ate it with elegance and thanked me for that!”

In Mahsa’s cuisine, creativity is key: “I´m quite proud of most of the meals I have cooked as most of the time they are just an invention based on what I have in the fridge and different flavors or spices that I have discovered in my travels throughout the world. I also like rich salads with exotic ingredients or a simple pasta dish with a tasty sauce.”

Any weaknesses? “Paella and arroz marinero would be the recipes that I most aspire to learn as it´s a delicious and healthy dish, quite simple but very hard to achieve.”

What is your definition of a successful meal? “When all the flavors are just right. Let´s say as anything else in the world a well-balanced meal would be the perfect meal and much better if it can provide a little bit of surprise to the taste buds too.”

What about your place?

I guess what makes a place or an experience special might not be much the place itself but also the way how you are received and looked after. In my opinion, hospitality and being warm, welcoming, informative and fun would be the key to any memorable experience.”

What do you think of Cookening?

“I absolutely love this idea as it encompasses so many different factors that are the key ingredients for any unforgettable experience. It´s an all included opportunity to have fun, discover new culinary recipes, meet interesting people, learn about other cultures, exchange ideas and make new friends.”

“I would love the idea to have more Cookening members all over the world.” No worries, Mahsa, the Cookening community is growing fast!
