It’s in your New Year’s resolutions: getting to meet new people, going out, listening, telling and chating! Very well, then. But where do I get to meet those new people? Here are our two methods!

1 – Meeting in real life…
It’s the so-called traditional method, even if it’s not necessarily the most trendy one.
The encounters happen at your place of work or at school, in bars or nightclubs, at friends’, in the public transportation (or even right in the street) and during your many cultural and sports activities.
You’re perfectly aware of it: the best encounters are often unexpected!
I know what you’re going to say: “I’ve already tried everything but approaching someone that I’ve never met before is not that simple.” Well, yes, of course, it’s not easy!
But the only thing you have to do is gather your courage and rush headlong into it (yes, sometimes, it is worth it), this opportunity will probably allow you to make a surprising or even unusual encounter.
That being said, you probably have shared interests with your workmates or classmates. Plus, nice and interesting people are numerous in bars, associations or at the last party thrown by your best friend. Also, keep in mind that men and women as sane as you walk down the city street or use the public transportation every day.
Again, jump ahead and fight the prejudices such as “This guy is a weirdo, look at him, he’s trying to chat in the subway!” or even “She ain’t got any friends, or what? She’s approaching me in the street.” We don’t say that your attempt will go unnoticed but at least, you’ve tried, even in an unusual place. Plus, you’ll be allowed to brag to your friends.
Smiling is the golden rule!
2 – …Or meeting online
Online dating for those who are looking for a romantic relationship (or anything else…but it’s none of our business!) or…Cookening!
Wandering on the website, browsing several profiles, comparing and most importantly, making a decision: who would you like to eat with next week?
Brunch, afternoon tea, dinner, passionate about swimming, guitar player, photographer, Mexican, Indian, Italian or Creole cuisines, in France or abroad, redhead, blond, brunette, tall, thin, dwarfish, blue eyes, green eyes, you get the point, possibilities are countless. The choice is yours, send a message and off you go!
What’s next? That’s where it becomes interesting. Your trip to the virtual world comes to an end right when you set up a date for a dive into the real world.
At that precise moment, you’re going to find out whether the promises of your interlocutor were true (hip hip hooray!). But guess what? Cookening doesn’t know what the meaning of disappointment is because you’re going to spend a few hours around a table in the real life, without cheating.
So let’s get ready for the big change: Cookening will allow you to make unexpected encounters and find happiness!
